SATURDAYS AT 8:30 A.M. | WASHINGTON PARK
BEGINNING SATURDAY, JUNE 1

We had a great response to our Lenten Saturday Seekers group, so we will be offering a session all summer long. Beginning June 1, we will meet each Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in Washington Park for spiritual formation. We will meet on the benches surrounding the “Angel of Hope” statue, which is near the Carillon. The theme of our reflections will be “Creation”, so come prepared to walk or to sit and reflect on the beautiful world our Creator has given us to love and care for!

During the Season of Easter, our readings in worship will include passages from the First Letter of John. Therefore, beginning April 7 at 9:45 a.m., Pastor Linda will facilitate a study on 1 John in the Sunday Forum. Pastor Linda will use N.T. Wright’s book

The Letters of John: 9 Studies for Individuals and Groups to guide the discussion. You do not need the book to participate.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY

Looking for an opportunity to grow in faith, knowledge, and fellowship with other women? Then the Tuesday morning women’s Bible study might be just what you need! The group will meet in the Adult Meeting Room at 9:30 A.M. each Tuesday.

DLT LUNCH GROUP OF ST. JOHN’S

The DLT (Disciples Lunching Together) Lunch Group meets on the second Wednesday of each month for brunch and fellowship. To ensure seating and service, contact Roy Booker by 4:30 p.m. on Monday before we meet. We look forward to seeing you there!

1st & 3rd wednesdays // 5:00 p.m.

Bitsy Knepler, Memorial Hospital Bereavement Services Coordinator, will lead the Bereavement Support Group that meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the Adult Meeting Room. The meetings are open to anyone in the community who has lost a loved one. While we may grieve many kinds of losses, this gathering is for those who have lost a loved one.

Are you or is someone you know struggling with divorce or separation? Divorce Care is a 13-week support group designed for those who are going through or have been through divorce/separation. If you are interested in joining the next session please contact Pastor Linda or keep an eye out in the Messenger or Eagle Newsletters for our next one.

WE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST, CALLED INTO MINISTRY; AS INDIVIDUALS, AS FAMILIES, WITH PRAYERS, WITH OUR TIME.

Meet Geno and Gregg.

They love grilling. The smoke, the grease, the sizzle, and of course the pre-meal samples. Because we knew that, they were able to put hundreds of smiles on peoples faces at our Small Group Connection Cookout this Spring.

One way to find out how God has designed you to serve is by taking the spiritual gifts inventory. If you would like us to have someone notify you when there is an opportunity available that is a good fit, the Time, Talents, and Touch form is a good place to start. Below are the two options to get involved. Click the buttons to explore our groups.
